Dr. Donald Kelm
Movement is fundamental to life. We were made to move and when we do not move or cannot move, our body pays the price. Dr. Kelm has had a passion for the importance of purposeful movement from the beginning of his career that began in the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Calgary, next to a Master’s program in Sports Medicine at the University of British Columbia, and eventually as a graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (1991). He lives out his commitment to purposeful movement on a daily basis, both at a personal level and in working with his patients.
Dr. Kelm is the founder of Victoria East Chiropractic Clinic (1998) and a professional with over 25 years of chiropractic experience. In addition he brings nine years as a member of the functional rehabilitation team at the Canadian Back Institute (Regina) to his practice where he focuses on promoting health, fitness and restoration of movement. In providing chiropractic treatment and addressing restoration of joint dysfunction, Dr. Kelm will share this diverse background to give each patient individualized attention using a variety of treatments including; manual manipulation, soft-tissue techniques, stretching and/or exercises. Other services and modalities may also be used to further enhance treatment plans, such as ultrasound, muscle stimulation, laser and custom orthotics. Regardless of age or condition, Dr. Kelm is committed to helping each individual patient improve his or her motion, strength, endurance and self-image.
Dr. Shane Taylor
Dr. Taylor attended the University of Regina and graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1996 with Cum Laude and Clinic Honours. After graduation, Dr. Taylor returned to Regina, SK where he currently practices full-time at Victoria East Chiropractic Clinic. Dr. Taylor has a special interest in sports injuries, concussions and helping with return to play guidelines. Dr. Taylor uses diversified chiropractic technique, along with SOT, Impulse Adjusting Instrument and utilizes Custom Orthotics, IFC, ultrasound and K-laser in managing his patient’s conditions.
Dr. Taylor was a board member for Chiropractors’ Association of Saskatchewan from 2002 to 2011 and served as their President from 2007 to 2011. Dr. Taylor has served his profession in Saskatchewan by working on several committees since graduation including government negotiations, which he still helps with. Dr. Taylor has twice been awarded “Chiropractor of the Year” by his peers in Saskatchewan, once in 2004 and again in 2010 when the award was changed to Dr. Donald Bramham Award of Excellence.
Dr. Taylor was elected to Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association (CCPA) Board in June 2011, was appointed to Vice President in June 2013 and currently sits as President since January 2015. Dr. Taylor is also currently a member of CCPA’s LAG, Succession, Trust and Adjudicative Committees and has worked on the Risk Management Program.
Dr. Taylor and his wife Shelley will be celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2017 along with their children Braeden, Mckenzie and Connor. Among living with a busy family and work, Dr. Taylor has volunteered to coach minor hockey for the past fourteen years. Dr. Taylor has also volunteered as the Chiropractor in Chief for the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championships, the 2005 Summer Games and the Canadian Western Agribition Rodeo all held in Regina. Dr. Taylor has also served on the board of the Breakfast Club of Regina for several years.
Dr. Kerry Ann Ottenbreit
Dr. Kerry Ottenbreit was born and raised in Regina where she actively participated in music and the Regina Lions Band program. She attended the University of Regina. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 1993, graduating Suma Cum Laude, and receiving the Walter Sturdy Memorial Award for the highest overall four-year average. She has practiced in Regina since that time and focuses on patients with acute and chronic pain.
Dr. Ottenbreit received her certification in acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (now Acupuncture Canada), receiving the highest mark across the country in her year. She completed a specialized, advanced acupuncture course in Gokavi Transverse Technique, developed specifically for chronic pain syndromes and which is highly effective at minimizing pain associated with long-term injuries or ailments, while improving functionality.
As a young woman, Dr. Ottenbreit was involved in two motor vehicle accidents, causing her to suffer from chronic pain and headaches. This pain motivated her to become a chiropractor and obtain acupuncture certification, as she personally obtained great relief from these treatments. Because of her own experience, Dr. Ottenbreit is dedicated to providing pain relief to her patients. She treats her patients with chiropractic and/or acupuncture, as well as IFC and ultrasound modalities.
Dr. Ottenbreit is married and resides in Regina with her husband, Phil Symchych, and their two daughters, Anastasia and Julia.
Dr. Colton MacLean
Dr. Maclean believes physical activity is a lifelong process and one of the most important things you can do for your health. Maintaining an active lifestyle may lead to a few aches and ailments along the way, but Dr. MacLean believes it is essential that patients understand that their bodies are strong, adaptable and resilient.
Dr. Maclean grew up in Yorkton, Saskatchewan where he spent his winters playing hockey and summers water skiing and boating. His love for hockey led him to Fort Qu’Appelle to play for the Fort Knox for 4 years. This is where he quickly found the benefits of chiropractic care. After playing hockey, he made his way back to the classroom to pursue a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology degree – majoring in human kinetics from the University of Regina
With several family members in health care and guidance from others in the chiropractic field, Dr. Maclean decided to further his education at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. Graduating in 2020 with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.
Due to his love of athletics and outdoor activities, Dr. Maclean dedicated himself to gaining a better understanding of exercise prescription, rehab and soft tissue treatment by spending countless hours reading research, completing courses and listening to professionals that have been working in the field for many years.
Dr. Maclean is committed to helping all of his patients achieve their healthcare goals, regardless of what they might be. Dr. Maclean’s treatment consists of a detailed history, to help him gain a better understanding of you, your ailment and what it is preventing you from doing. He then works together with you to help you take control of your pain while you are away from the clinic. While you are in the clinic, Dr. Maclean takes a multi-faceted approach utilizing chiropractic manipulation, soft tissue therapy (FAKTR/MRT), rehabilitative exercises, taping, laser among other things!
In his free time, Dr. Maclean enjoys spending time with his family and friends, going for runs, playing hockey, waterskiing and genuinely enjoying the outdoors. Dr. Maclean loves providing evidence based, ethical care to individuals of all ages and abilities.
Dr. Michael Mollenhauer
Dr. Michael Mollenhauer was born and raised in Regina. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Regina and his Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He also holds certification from the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University. Dr. Mollenhauer enjoys using his chiropractic and acupuncture skills to help patients with injuries related to sports, work, and the wear and tear of everyday life. He is heavily involved in the KONKUSSION program. This program includes prevention as well as post-concussion treatment to help the brain recover, reducing symptoms and returning to work and play as soon as possible. When not treating his patients he loves golfing and cheering on the Roughriders.
Amy Galiegue R.M.T
Amy is no longer accepting new patients without a referral. Amy Galiegue was born and raised in Regina, SK. Amy started her massage practice has in 1997 and has been a full time Registered Massage Therapist for her entire career. She received certification in several other types of massage and massage related techniques that she is able to add to any treatment. Amy’s diploma was based in Swedish massage. She is a foot reflexologist and also has experience in pregnancy, sports and TMJ massage.
